Abrasive Wheels

The aim of our course is to provide each delegate with the knowledge needed to safely identify, inspect, store, transport, and mount abrasive wheels. The course also covers the methods of safe use of abrasive wheels on off hand bench grinders, portable chop saws, angle grinders and disc cutters and the P. P. E that should be used. 

Cable Awareness

This course is designed to give operatives an awareness and understanding of possible dangers when dealing with underground Apparatus and to provide instruction in the correct use of CAT (Cable Avoidance Tool) and associated equipment.

Construction Safety Awareness

This course is for Construction Operatives and is designed to provide candidates with a general understanding of Health and Safety regulations and site safety awareness relating to the construction industry.

Confined Space Awareness – 1 day Safety Awareness

This is a classroom course and is aimed at supervisors or managers with responsibilities for confined space entry and for any person who is required to enter a confined space at work.  Candidates will be shown how to implement safe systems of work regarding confined spaces.

Confined Space Awareness – 2 day Safe Entry

A more in-depth course aimed more at individuals who carry out work within confined spaces covering a general confined space safety including safe systems of work, monitoring equipment, winches and harnesses and escape breathing apparatus. Classroom and practical exercises.

Site Safety Management Training Scheme (SMSTS) Five-Day or Two-Day Refresher

This course covers The Health and Safety at Work Act and the regulations relevant to the Construction Industry.  It includes site set-up, CDM, risk assessments, method statements, scaffolding, electricity, excavations, demolition and confined spaces, as well as recent changes in accepted working practices.  For those who successfully complete the course there is a recognised certificate.
